Traditional veterinary medicine

Traditional Veterinary Medicine offers information on ancient approaches of avoiding and treating diseases of animals before the advent of contemporary medicine. Herbal medicine, acupuncture, chiropractic, and nutritional therapy are more extensively accepted in the veterinary community as valid treatment methods than other alternative treatment options. Use of herbs or herbal therapy is usually sustained for weeks to months by adding powders or tablets to the dog/cat food and is altered according to the requirements of the animal. Chiropractic therapy is chiefly used for musculoskeletal pain in veterinary medicine.
