Arabic and Unani Medicine

Arabic Medicine is also identified as Islamic medicine which refers science of medicine inscribed in Arabic by Islamic physicians and scholars. It is general since 7th century; their notions and thoughts about medical ethics are still discussed today, all over the world. After establishment and expansion of hospitals, Islamic physicians were able to offer more inherent operations to cure patients using ancient Arabic techniques.

Unani or Yunani medicine is Perso-Arabic traditional medicine as practiced in Muslim beliefs in South Asia and modern day Central Asia. Unani medicine is pseudoscientific. The term Yunani means "Greek", as the Perso-Arabic system of medicine was grounded on the teachings of the Greek physicians Hippocrates and Galen. Unani, like Ayurveda, is created on concept of the presence of the elements in the human body. According to followers of Unani medicine, these elements are existing in fluids and their balance specifies to health and their imbalance leads to illness.
